The red oxide flooring is commonly seen in villages and old houses. It gives a very authentic look to the floor. In my mother’s house, we had a red oxide flooring and my mom used to draw various Rangoli designs on the floor. The even now you can see such designs in our villages. But today granites, vitrified tiles, mosaic tiles & marbles are dominating the flooring of houses we rarely see the elegance of red oxide floors.
